Irene Niemeier Steffes' Meatloaf

2 lbs hamburger
1 cup quaker rolled oats (rubbed fine)
2 eggs
1 grated medium onion
1/2-3/4 can tomato soup
salt and pepper
1/4 c tomato soup
2 T brown sugar

Mix first six ingredients and make into a ball. Please into a greased casserole dish. Bake covered for 1 1/2 hours at 350. Mix soup and brown sugar and pour over meatloaf. Bake 30 minutes uncovered. Let meatloaf "rest" 10 minutes before cutting.
